Where’s Brandon Achor?
Arkansas’s fiscal came and went — it was short and focused. All lawmakers had to do was show up, vote on the budget, and go home. Unless you’re Brandon Achor.
We played a game while watching the House floor: Where’s Achor? He’s was absent for most of the session, missing the bulk of the days lawmakers have actually met.
So where was he?
Georgia! At the Masters!
Now head over to Washington, D.C., where Achor found his way to the Capitol to post about meetings with members of Arkansas’ congressional delegation. He was there for a pharmacy industry fly-in. As in, he’s there representing his day job.

Meanwhile, back in Little Rock, lawmakers were doing the actual work of the fiscal session, in which their only job is to set the budget and decide what gets funded and what doesn’t. This included health care, which Achor says he’s concerned about, but like, not concerned enough to be in the room.
It’s a short session with a handful of meetings each week. But if you’re trying to Representative Brandon Achor, you’ll need a map, a plane ticket, and some patience.
