AG “tough-on-crime” unless Mother wants her vouchers

Attorney General Tim Griffin ran for this office on a maniacal obsession with crime. We want an AG who will keep us safe! But the crime-related problems he campaigned on solving weren’t the most important, they just contained the most dog-whistles. He didn’t have evidence-based solutions for any of our problems, he just wanted to build more prison beds.

WAHHHHHH!

He screamed until he was blue in the face about criminals needing accountability, and the rule of law being a cornerstone to our society.

A lot can change in a few months under a Sanders administration. Now Timmy doesn’t want to listen to the authority of the courts these days, especially when his boss tells him not to. Judge Herbert Wright issued a judgment on Friday stating that LEARNS is unconstitutional due to its emergency clause being defunct (we’ve been here before).

The AG has made it clear that he is green lighting the implementation of LEARNS no matter what some silly judge says. His reasoning is quite a reach, based on a technicality explained by a spokesperson from his office.

At the end of the day, the alarming truth is this: The Attorney General of Arkansas, under complete and utter authority of a far-right extremist governor, is ignoring a ruling by the judiciary and allowing implementation of a law that has been ruled unconstitutional.

In Arkansas, we have a government of puppets with a fascist master pulling their strings. Add Griffin to the list of those who do as they’re told instead of what the constitution requires.
