SHS renovates mansion with nonprofit cash

It’s all making sense! According to Sarah Sanders’ mouthpiece Alexa Henning, the Governor’s Mansion is undergoing some renovations. The story we’re getting is that Sanders’ young kids need a safer mansion to play in. What’s a child-friendly palazzo reno cost these days?

$592,000

You read that right. They’re updating the mansion to the tune of half a million dollars so that Sarah’s kids can have the accommodations they need. We’re told several times in the reporting article that tax paying dollars are not funding these enhancements, but the Governor’s Mansion Association, a 501(c)(3) that has an exclusive club called the “Governor’s Mansion Circle” with a membership cost of only $1,500. The most recent report available shows that the organization had a revenue of about $172,000 in 2021, so a substantial influx of (likely coordinated) donations must be happening to foot this bill.

Regardless how it’s being funded, it’s a bad look for a governor hell-bent on putting kids to work all over the state.

The rest of Arkansas’s youth are being put to work so that Sarah’s kids can comfortably play in their new state manor.
